No, the video is intentionally before the last slide. I wanted to give the impression that I was giving a brief bio about the speaker before he gave his actual speech. Thanks for the feedback!
Task 2: Consult with your learning community in order to find time during Week 11 to present your videos synchronously. You will need to have downloaded Skype and created an account in order to be in voice contact with your group simultaneously while everyone watches the presentations. During each presentation, members of your learning community can open individual blogs and move through the video as the video developer discusses his or her work. You can provide feedback and ask questions of the developer at this time. After the synchronous conversation, visit each member’s blog, watch his or her video a second time, critique the presentation, and provide feedback.
I really enjoyed your video. I think you did a great job on graphics and making the presentaiton flow. The technical aspect is great. I also liked your information. I thought the interview with students on taking an online or campus college quetions was great. It brought a personal connection. Great job!
I was worried at the beginning that it was all going to be text. Your interviews were great they helped a lot for your discussion of the value of online education. However, the interviews did not tell us how to get funding. The video was a great intro to your speaker!!
Eric, I was not supposed to tell you how to get funding, that's the speaker's job:) By the way, who are you? Are you Thomas Harris? I don't remember seeing an Eric in the discussions.
Good introduction and it seemed like it opened up towards the middle a little-out of text into interviews etc. Good information and I enjoyed the presentation and how it flowed and seemed natural. You had good graphics and the interview was intriguing.
Your video was well-designed and interesting to watch. I liked the pictures and statistics about the cost increases of obtaining an online degree. I agree that online degree programs offer flexibility, and independence, and allow professionals to maintain full-time jobs while pursing a higher degree. However, the question about whether students would accept a full tuition scholarship for completing a degree online really does not have anything to do with funding for online education. The interviews were interesting, but they only demonstrated that undergraduate students want to experience college life socially and face-to-face with classmates and professors while graduate students need to learn from home. I wondered if explaining how many scholarships or grants are given each year for distance education would enhance your video presentation. Kiana,
ReplyDeleteVery professional and loved the interviews with the students. Was the last slide suppose to be before the your keynote speaker's video?
Also, his personal life did nto seem to fit in with the subject matter. He mostly talked about his move to Washington?
